High-speed Internet connections are hard to come by in Yakutsk. So are apples, bread and bottled water. No wonder reggae artist Lenky Roy and crew are sick. Read all about it in the latest installment of Jim Hall's Siberian travelogue.

The horse is considered a sacred animal among traditional Siberian tribes. However, the indigenous people of Siberia have no problem with killing a horse -- provided they use every part of the animal to make products like furry boots.

Fur is the material of choice in this part of the world. In fact, technical cold-weather fabrics like Gore-Tex and fleece are frowned upon.
