Slideshow: Hearts and Minds Working in Laos

The Remote IT Village Project, stymied by a power surge that fried the main computer, is rallying to set up the world's first bicycle-powered wireless Linux computer system before the rainy season starts. A little barbequed water buffalo and beer did a lot to boost morale. By Michelle Delio.
