The British Medical Association and a Cancun resort offer two different approaches to the growing pandemic of obesity. The BMA is proposing a 17.5 percent tax on high-fat foods like biscuits and processed meat. The BMA hopes the tax will dissuade people from consuming fattening foods that can lead to obesity -- a serious risk factor for major diseases. In contrast, the Freedom Paradise resort's motto is: "Live Large, Live Free!" The Cancun resort claims to be the first "size-friendly, all-inclusive beach resort." Its commercial director said: "There's a lot of pressure about the health advantages of losing weight, but what about mental health? Isn't it just as important to be happy?"
