Environmental group Greenpeace is giving Iraqis clean water barrels in exchange for the contaminated containers looted from a nuclear complex they've been using. The U.S. Army offered $3 per barrel for the containers, previously used to store low-enriched uranium peroxide powder known as "yellow cake." But Iraqis would have to pay about $15 each for new containers to replace contaminated barrels, the group said. Many Iraqis have been reluctant to give up the looted barrels, with a critical need for water storage overcoming the unseen threat of radioactivity. Greenpeace believes about 150 of 500 looted containers are still missing. Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency say they have accounted for most of the missing uranium.
