Tribute to Kate

The lights will be dimmed along Broadway at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening in tribute to actress Katharine Hepburn, who died Sunday at the age of 96. Broadway held a special place for Hepburn, who began her career as a stage actress before going to Hollywood. Later, after the movies made her one of the most popular stars in the world, she continued performing on Broadway, which was more attuned to her East Coast sensibilities.
