Congressman Charged

Republican Rep. Bill Janklow is one of the most powerful politicians in South Dakota, but he'll face second-degree manslaughter charges in the death of a motorcyclist earlier this month, which could bring a 10-year prison sentence and $10,000 fine. Janklow, 63, was traveling around 70 mph when his car ran a stop sign at a rural intersection. The motorcyclist, 55-year-old Randy Scott, was killed when he struck the side of Janklow's Cadillac.
