A British artist returned home to find his house had been broken into twice -- once by a burglar and again by the police. The burglar had seen a work of art that he mistook for a human head floating in a jar of formaldehyde and, spooked, summoned the police to the house he had just robbed. Artist Richard Morrison had sculpted the head from bacon wrapped around a wire frame. Police bashed down Morrison's door but apologized for the damage. "I gather the police were bracing themselves for a Silence of the Lambs moment when they broke into my flat," said the artist. According to police, the burglar "had a crisis of confidence and confessed his crimes to his mother."
