we're also using an apc kyptonite sensor alarm lock. we thread the lock through a wheel, if the cable is cut it will make 110db alarm sound. we sometimes put it in "motion mode" as well and leave it in the front bag, if anyone touches the ht it makes a warning sound, if it's moved for more than a few seconds after that it will sound a very loud alarm (110dbs) . the motion sensor modes of the units we've reviewed are very sensitive, so we've opted to place them inside the front bag, works great.

lock to a fixed, immovable object like a parking meter or permanent bike rack. be careful not to lock to items that can be easily cut, broken or removed. be careful that your HT cannot be lifted over the top of the object to which it is locked.

here is a hole on each wheel / fender that allows you to lock the ht with a standard bike lock, right now i'm reviewing the kryptonite kryptocable iv and we're also using an abus catena lock. both offer great security and flexibility in all / most situations, we're favoring the abus since it's shorter. update: we're back to the kryptonite kryptocable iv why? well, it's longer than the abus and in some cases we've wanted a longer cable lock.
