The birthday boy wasn't the only one in for a jolt at a surprise party in his honor Saturday night in the Norwegian woods. Tipped to the party beforehand, he hid behind some trees near the cabin and waited until the 30 or so guests had arrived. Then he fired a shotgun round into the air, hoping to turn the surprise on his friends. But when he came out of his hiding place, he tripped and the gun discharged again, wounding one woman in the legs and slightly injuring five others. The party was canceled.
