Thar She Blows

In a page right out of Moby Dick, a whale rammed a sailboat as it cruised off the Australian coast earlier this week, scaring the bejeesus out of the crew before disappearing into the briny deep. The 10-ton humpback breached alongside the boat, tearing the mast and rigging away as it slid past. "I was below deck when there was a hell of a crash from port as it leapt out of nowhere," said Captain Aha..., er, Trevor Johnson, who was aboard with his wife, two sons and a son's girlfriend. The collision knocked out the radio, but Johnson was able to call for help using a cell phone.
