I don't like that Wal-Mart is getting into this business ("Wal-Mart Sells Songs for 88 Cents," Dec. 18, 2003).
I think it should stick to what it does best, and that is definitely not in the music area. I have never liked its music selection at the store because of its "edited" material. I don't want Wal-Mart to edit my music for me. If I find it offensive, I won't buy it. I don't need the Wal-Mart Corp. telling me what is offensive or not.

If RealNetworks wanted people to use its software, maybe it shouldn't create such buggy bloatware ("RealNetworks: MS Won't Play Fair," Dec. 18, 2003).
I don't need a message center. I don't need all of these services running in the background. And I don't need the crashes that come from those services. Give me Windows Media Player any day over RealOne.

If RealPlayer did not install spyware with its player, I would download it and use it. Until it loses the spyware, I will continue to use Windows Media Player ("RealNetworks: MS Won't Play Fair," Dec. 18, 2003).
RealNetworks should work to improve its product instead of complaining of competition.

Real has a point ("RealNetworks: MS Won't Play Fair," Dec. 18, 2003). However, even if Microsoft didn't bundle its media player, I wouldn't install Real's, let alone buy it. That thing is nothing more than convoluted bloatware with next to zero utility.

Subject: Sun Linux a Good Rival to Windows
One has to ask, why would anyone pay $100 for software that does not have all of the functions that Windows has? Seems Sun has missed the mark again ("Sun Linux a Good Rival to Windows," Dec. 19, 2003).
