Here We Go Again, Gentle Reader

The mortician charged with preparing President Reagan's body calls the solemn job "the honor of a lifetime." Bob Boetticher, a Texan tabbed for the task some time ago, helped with all the paperwork and other mundane duties normally undertaken by funeral directors, as well as a few extras -- like driving the hearse in a miles-long procession. "I am doing all of these things aware that the world is watching," said Boetticher, who became a funeral director after taking an aptitude test in high school. "People think my business is about the dead. It's not. I'm here to serve the living."
