Slideshow: Geeks Code for the Gold

Competitors are still going at it in Athens, but this time the teams are trying to write the most elegant code. By Michelle Delio.

The logo of the 16th International Olympiad in Informatics, which will be held in Athens from Sept. 11 to 18, 2004. The idea behind these games is to "create continuity between past and present, combining the tradition of the Olympic Games with current technologic and scientific developments, as well as provide an answer to those who believe that modern technology is out of hand," according to a spokesman.
