Ceci N'est Pas Un IMac, Part Deux

Regarding Wednesday's post about Surrealist notes on iMacs, an anonymous employee of an unnamed Apple retail store writes:

"We really do have to keep an eye on customers. I always see customers turning the displays a little to peek at the back, which is a sure sign they are looking for an iMac. It's gotten better, but at release time I actually made it a game to see which I would see more of: people mistaking the displays for iMacs, or people calling to see if we had any iMacs in stock. It was pretty close for a while but it's turned into a landslide victory for phone calls. (Which is why any Apple Store you walk in will have the phones going nuts... first for the mini ipod, now the iMac.)
