Tech Connect Magazine has whipped up a beta MacOSX Transformation Pack, a collection of software tools and skins for turning a XP PC into a faux Mac.

The free download claims to require no other software, and includes Trillion iChat skins, sounds, cursors, desktop wallpapers and even an Apple bootup screen -- a detail that borders on the completely crazy. It works only on Windows XP SP2.

However, the system hasn't so far garnered many raves in the comments to the introductory post, and wasn't rated very highly in this Nakful Propoganda review:

"This is one of the most complete, yet worst looking attempts to make Windows look like Mac OS X I have used. The upside that you don't need to install 'all kinds of other tools' is not very accurate. You need WindowBlinds, WindowFX and Aqua Dock, plus you need to take some time to change your mouse pointers, use regedit to change the system font, and enable and configure the skins (which takes a reboot or two)... If what you want is an OS that looks like Mac OS X, get a Mac."
