Quicktime VR photographer Landis Bennett is calling for VR photographers to participate in the World Wide Panorama project on the winter solstice.
A previous WW Panorama shoot -- during the spring equinox -- resulted in 180 images from 40 different countries. A subsequent bridge-themed event attracted even more (180+).
The winter solstice site has details, including submission guidelines and the theme ("sanctuary"). In most of the world, the solstice falls on Dec. 21.
