Hey Jammers,

This year 10,000 new activists joined our network. There are now 75,000 of us. Just think about that – more jammers working to detourne the corporate system than work for Nike and Fox News combined. And we pulled off hundreds of local, national and global jams. Here are some of the highlights:

July 4th, we flew 10,000 Corporate America Flags across the land and ran a full-page ad in the in the New York Times.

In September we launched a legal action against four of Canada's largest television networks for refusing to air our 30-second missives against McDonald's, big tobacco and overconsumption. If we win this legal battle in 2005, we'll be setting a legal precedent that will energize the media democracy and mental environmental movements worldwide.

This year's Buy Nothing Day was the biggest in our history with actions in 300 cities and 65 countries. New reports are still being posted And Buy Nothing Christmas is in full swing

The JammerGroup system, launched last month, makes it easy for you to brainstorm and coordinate your actions with other jammers. If you haven't joined your city's group yet, check out: Next year we could have as many as 1,000 groups organized – ready to act locally and join coordinated global campaigns.

The Blackspot Sneaker stirred up serious controversy, but it also set precedent for a new breed of entrepreneurial activism. We have 10,000 Blackspots on the streets now, marching against Phil Knight's celebrity-driven pseudo cool. And antipreneurs are already plotting Blackspot music labels, restaurants and even Blackspot Vodka. We seek nothing less than the total grassroots takeover of corporate capitalism. .

What else will the future hold? Who knows. But one thing's for sure. . we've got a hard four years ahead of us. So come on, poke your head out of the old lefty box and come up with a new trick. Then share it with the rest of us.

Cheers and a happy holidays,

Staff and Volunteers at Adbusters
