Rich people aren't necessarily smart people. If they were, they wouldn't build their luxury homes on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean where the footing is, at best, shaky. At least a dozen homes on a bluff above Laguna Beach, California, went crashing down the steep hillside Wednesday as the result of a landslide in an area considered so unstable that several homes were red-tagged as uninhabitable following February's torrential rains. There were no reports of injuries.
