Students are allowed to use the F-word at a U.K. secondary school -- but only five times per class period. Under the new policy, a running tally of the word's use will be kept on the board. If a class exceeds the limit, the rapscallions will be "spoken to" at the end of the period. "The reality is that the F-word is part of these young adults' everyday language," said Alan Large, headmaster of the Weavers School. Parents, however, slammed the rule as "wholly irresponsible and ludicrous." And Tory MP Ann Widdecombe said the policy was based on "Alice in Wonderland reasoning." She asked, "What next? Do we allow people to speed five times or burgle five times? You don't improve something by allowing it, you improve something by discouraging it."
