According to a Friday Reuters Report, Konica Minolta will be cutting back its digicam offerings even as competitor Kodak appears to be ramping up its own product line. The company has been facing tough competition in a fairly saturated market for years, so it's not actually that surprising.

As Konica Minolta discontinues its digicam lines, the company will step up its manufacturing of LCD displays, which is likely to be a more lively market in the coming couple of years. Konica Minolta will continue to produce Digital SLRs in cooperation with Sony, though its own DSLR line will see some cutbacks.
