Not a Penny in His Pockets

An Argentine newspaper reporter has learned that President Bush does not carry a lot of items in his pants pockets. Interviewing the leader of the free world in advance of his trip to Latin America, the La Nacion reporter asked Bush to reveal his pockets' contents. The president emptied them out to find merely a white handkerchief. "Es todo," Bush told the Spanish-speaking reporter. "No dinero, no mas. No wallet." Of course, he doesn't carry cash because his staff makes his purchases for him, and he isn't burdened with a cell phone since his aides dial his calls on his behalf. He does, however, wear a watch. "Si, Timex," Bush said to the reporter, showing off a timepiece that bore his middle initial, W, on the face. "But I'm not supposed to be endorsing products."
