Volvo has taken a detour from its usual path of developing safe family vehicles with the XC70 concept car built specially for the SEMA trade show. Volvo turbocharged its 4x4 to boost the horsepower from 300 to 408, and with a lift kit it can ride a full eight inches above the standard vehicle.

The All Terrain edition has a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine and six-speed transmission that provides 398 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, enabling it to haul ash (or any other material) in a hurry.

The vehicle has an eye-catching orange exterior and slick (literally) interior, as the seat covers are made of black and gray neoprene wetsuit material. This would certainly turn some heads when taken to choir practice.
