The Bipasha Basu Blog (if only)

Okay, it's not an actual blog; it's a publicity stunt for

the release of her latest film. It's interesting that

Bollywood is hip enough to exploit blogs for

such a purpose, though. "Blogebrity," Indo-Global style.

"Hi!/p>

"I am Bipasha Basu and I work in the biggest film industry in the world – Bollywood.

"Welcome to my blog!

"What you will find here is my experience of working with a wonderful director called Prakash Jha in a very interesting film called Apharan.

"We hope to release this film on 3rd November and we want all you guys to come and see it and tell us what you think.

?Working with PJ and his team in Apharan has been a very warm, unforgettable experience. It was a big change for me professionally. In fact, making this film was a very important decision for me because of its socially relevant context.

"Apaharan, as you know, means kidnapping and this film is about kidnapping in Bihar, which has now become a cottage industry.

Initially, I was hesitant, since I am familiar with the kinds of film PJ usually makes. All the big words were coming to me – socially relevant, gripping social themes, hard-hitting… In short: Serious cinema. It would be a first for me.

"But then I decided I had to do it. "

*There's gotta be some Harry Knowles of Bollywood

who's actually inside the industry, blogging his head

off. I wonder where that guy is and how long it will take me to find him.
