We know the story—you’re packing your suitcase for an upcoming trip and you pause a moment as your eyes fall on your favorite sex toy. It’s big, phallic, colorful and noisy—you love it, but your smiling gaze turns into a frown as you decide to leave it behind. You picture your toy being X-rayed in front of the other passengers, all of whom happen to be kids, grandparents, and religious leaders. Or maybe you’re imagining sitting at the Thanksgiving dinner table, enjoying a savory bite of turkey, which you nearly choke on when your Grandma asks you what’s making that buzzing sound in your room at night. It makes me laugh. I spent Labor Day weekend in Nebraska for my boyfriend's family reunion at his mom's house. And while we were given a room together, it was the room that shared a wall with Mom's room, and you had to leave the door open because of the central air conditioning system intake. I'm 34, he's 40-something, and yet ... can you imagine having toted along a vibrator or body paints for the occasion? Do you have any idea how many people, including children, were in that house for two days?
