The document states the rather noble objective for the development team:

Firefox 2 will aim to build on the success of Firefox by addressing issues related to the problem of managing the vast amounts of information available on the Internet. Our goal is to provide a browser that helps users manage and organize their online information channels.

Also making the rounds today is this essay at Mac Specialist arguing for a cross-browser standard for the RSS feed link icon. It may seem picky, but standardizing all of the "little things" across all of the browsers will ultimately lead to a more accessible, more usable web.
