"It was a sting operation carried out by private detectives with the help of touts" ((("Touts"??))
NEW DELHI: The Special Cell of the Delhi police on Wednesday released the photograph of the fourth accused wanted in connection with the illegal tapping of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's telephone on "forged" authorisation documents.
The accused, Vijay Dhawan, is a resident of Rohtak in Haryana and works as a freelance detective.
According to the police, Vijay operated as a link between Reliance Infocomm employee Kuldeep and owner of Metro Intelligence Agency Bhupender, who allegedly got Mr. Singh's telephone tapped. Investigations indicated that it was a sting operation carried out by private detectives with the help of touts.
The police had arrested Kuldeep, Bhupender and Anurag Singh, owner of a detective agency at Connaught Place here, and mounted raids in Haryana and other States for Vijay.

(((Vijay here is still on the lam, but unless this photo dates
to when he was 12, he sure doesn't look like a "freelance
detective" to me. I'm thinking keyboard-punching
GenX hacker dude, here. His job is introducing bent
telephone employees to politically connected detectives.
I smell phone phreak.)))
I wonder where Vijay is right now, and if he's busy Googling
himself on Indian Google news.
