Oil Tycoon In Court On Computer Hacking Rap

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Billionaire oil tycoon Matthew Mellon appeared in court today charged with computer hacking. (((So, is he charged with a crime now, or isn't he?)))
The 41-year-old, who is heir to an estimated ø4 billion oil and banking fortune, spoke just to confirm his name and Chelsea address during the hour long hearing at Bow Street Magistrates Court in central London. (((That doesn't sound too gruelling.)))
Heavily-tanned Mr Mellon, estranged husband of 'It' girl and Jimmy Choo boss Tamara Mellon, was sharply dressed in a navy blue double breasted suit and crisp white shirt.
Mellon is among 17 people charged with computer hacking in a spying ring which allegedly sold information on the rich to paying clients.
One of those charged, Scott Glesthorpe, ran the investigation agency at the centre of the allegations, and is an ex policeman.
Mellon was released on conditional bail, and has to inform the court if he leaves the country. He has been ordered to reappear at the Old Bailey on June 22. All the defendants face jail if convicted.
