Yesterday, Google launched the public beta of their Google Pages service. I got really excited about it, so I went to pages.google.com this morning to check it out. I logged in to my Google account, then I saw this message:

This is a bit of a trend for Google's beta applications. Like Google Analytics a few months ago, the demand is so high for new Google toys that Google has to halt memberships soon after launching the new services.
When it launches, Google Pages will offer users the ability to create simple HTML pages using a browser-based WYSIWYG editor. The pages will live at a subdomain on "Googlepages" which is determined by your Google account name (yourgooglename.googlepages.com). We're looking forward to testing out the new application when it's relaunched for public use.
