Japan Watch, Part 2: Sell Your DS for Many Yens

The DS Lite hits on March 2, which should signal the end of Japan's Nintendo DS shortage. But until then it's still impossible to find. So much so that many of the Japanese-living Gaming-Age posters have taken to selling off their systems and raking in some quick cash while the getting is good. Wrote original poster "Sho Nuff":

I just unloaded my old, slightly scratched (mentioned in the description), launch day Japanese DS for ONE HUNDRED AND FRICKING SEVENTY DOLLARS. I am not questioning why the buyer decided to waste so much money, but whatever, now he can rub his puppies or something and I can STILL PROFIT WHILE BUYING A DS LITE AHUAHUAHUA.

I just took my old scratched DS to Tsutaya in Shibuya. This poor abused DS' bottom screen had gotten dislodged and miscalibrated from too much Ouendan--I had had to send it in for repairs to Nintendo. It also had no sticker on the bottom anymore, thanks to my huge sweaty gaijin hands playing too much Ouendan, and had been generally used and abused and scratched up.

$130!! For fucking [sic] walk-up drop-off trade-in at a used game store.
