I got a note from Benjamin Jackson this morning. He's an American living in Brazil, and a few days ago, the display on his Titanium Powerbook went insane, as seen at right (the carefully crafted spelling was accomplished courtesy of marquee selections).

You can read more of his nightmare here, but suffice it to say that a foreign country is the last place you want a motherboard to fry, even with extended AppleCare.
Ben has followed up, and lets me know that his case was recently given "special priority" by Apple Sao Paulo. We can only hope.
