Dancing About Architecture

The inimitable BLDG Blog has a terrific post where it thinks about the illusion of architecture through sound - that recording of ambient sounds can make it feel as if you are in a building you are not (in an attic, a basement, by a subway line).

So instead of an addition, or a home renovation – you would commission a piece of music; and for as long as that music is playing, your house has several thousand more square-feet... and a Tube line nearby... and distant boilers...
