Ethanol is being blended with diesel to provide a cleaner burning fuel. 02Diesel's blended fuel is being used in Australia and Lincoln, Nebraska, and the Saskatechwan Research Council is developing a vehicle optimized to run on an ethanol diesel mix.
O2Diesel has partnered with a Brazilian company to manufacture an ethanol additive that reduces emissions by up to 26 percent.
