Majesco Posts $2.6 Million Loss

It's not happy times for Majesco either. Next-Gen reports that the publisher just reported a $2.6 million net loss for the first quarter, up from a $400,000 loss at the same time last year.

This news, as Next-Gen points out, comes on the heels of Majesco throwing in the towel on the premium-priced games biz and selling off the triple-A titles that it had in development:

"Going forward, our focus will be on enhancing our software product line up for the remainder of 2006 and 2007, continuing to reduce costs, streamlining our business, and actively seeking incremental revenue opportunities related to emerging technologies and peripherals," said Majesco's recently appointed chairman and interim CEO Morris Sutton.
