Here's a weird one. A press release issued today by BAX Global, which by its own description is a "supply chain management and transportation solutions company offering multi-modal logistics management for business-to-business shippers", which is bullshitese for "we move stuff from one place to somewhere else", details the company's previously secret role in shipping Xbox 360 consoles:

Nearly 90 dedicated 747 air charters were executed by BAX Global throughout the world for Microsoft's Home and Entertainment Division.

BAX Global, as Microsoft's primary air transportation carrier, was enlisted into the planning process more than a year in advance for the video game and entertainment system product launch. Microsoft bypassed the request for proposal process to maintain the needed level of secrecy regarding the Xbox 360 launch.

Apparently they were only really able to pat themselves on the back for this now that the need for secrecy has passed.

But this raises the question: are there Xbox 360s in stores, finally? Can you just go in and buy one, no bundle required, no strings attached, your choice of Premium Edition or I Like Wasting Money Edition? If you have information on this, comment away.
