Though VMWare didn't respond to my requests for interviews in time to include their Mac plans in my article on the subject last week.
I heard back from VMWare Spokeswoman Amber Rowland, who writes, "We're running Mac OS X on our systems in the labs today."
I've written back for more detail, as it's unclear whether VMWare has figured out how to make OS X a guest operating system in its software, or whether they've ported their software to OS X as a host operating system. I'll follow up if and when they reply.
Edit: Parallels has also released a second public beta of its Workstation 2.1 software. It's a bug fix for some of the bigger problems picked up in the days since the first one went out the door.
