Evidently, so many people are clamoring for that annoying whistling techno song from the latest series of Pepsi ads in which Eva Longoria, Jimmy Fallon, and the once-indie Parker Posey contract Pepsi Fever and dance ecstatically in the rain on the streets of New York that a company called Acquamedia is licensing the track to online music retailers and ringtone resellers, in the hopes of quenching insatiable consumer demand for the song.
Pardon me if I sound a little skeptical here, but I hadn't even seen one of these ads yet, haven't heard anyone mention the song, and have a hard time believing that "crazy frog" lightning can strike twice.
I could be wrong. Perhaps this isn't a completely manufacturered PR moment, but it sure feels like one.
