One of the more charming traditions that have risen from the webcomics community is that of the guest week. Webcomic authors, rather than putting up re-runs or refusing vacations, enlist a few of their peers to do one strip each for a week while they take a break. Thus the workload is spread around, and presumably the favor is returned at some point. Syndicates would do well to imitate this; it would give creators the breaks they so deeply need, and Scott Adams taking over Mary Worth for a day might actually get me to buy a newspaper.
At any rate, the inspiringly iconoclastic Scary Go Round is having a guest week, and Ali Graham of Housd is up first.
