personally track the doings of Monica Lewinsky.
The Total Information Awareness angle looks and sounds
antiseptic and geeky, but it surveillance is consistently
used for prurient interest and political advantage. It always
is used for that, because the human beings who
control these systems find sex and power to be of
overwhelming human interest.
Bruce Schneier weighs in:
