*Now these reeling Hindutva apparatchiks, for whatever reason, have decided to boycott and censor a movie by Bollywood's smartest actor-director. Why in the name of Ganesh would they pick this completely unnecessary fight with a brilliantly charismatic showboat? Aamir Khan just made mincemeat of them in the press, and will probably use this dust-up as his springboard to Parliament. The BJP just turned a harmless actor and pretend-radical into a genuine rabble-rouser who hates them.
This political party is too stupid to live! No wonder spooks are bugging and taping their bedrooms. If this is the graceless way they behave, their must be a LONG LINE of spooks aching to tape their bedrooms.

'As Fanaa opened in theatres nationwide yesterday, except in Narendra Modi’s Gujarat, it became clear that the standoff between the liberal and fascist faces of India would run much longer than any film could ever hope to.
(((Hint to BJP: when you're being baldly described as "fascists" in the movie press, this just isn't good PR.)))
