Red Hot Chili Peppers Fans Angry With Apple

Apple's foray into concert ticket sales is not off to a glorious start.

As documented in several threads on Apple's discussions page, many Red Hot Chili Peppers fans who preordered the new album, Stadium Arcadium, were disappointed Monday when a promised presale TicketMaster code offered by Apple never came.

Thanks for pre-ordering the Red Hot Chili Peppers' new double album Stadium Arcadium. As the first in line for this amazing album, you can also be first to score tickets for the band's upcoming tour. You will have an opportunity to purchase up to four tickets to one of the shows before tickets go on sale to the general public. On Monday, May 8, we will email you a unique code to use on Ticketmaster.com during the advanced purchase period from Tuesday, May 9 at 10 AM (local venue time) through Friday, May 12 at 5 PM.

The trouble is, May 8 came and went, and no one got their presale codes. Now we're into this morning, and 10 a.m. local time has come and gone for some venues, as well.

this shouldnt even be allowed to happen, i mean if only some people got codes then they shouldve postponed when the tickets went on sale so we all got a fair chance, we all paid for a code! by the way, the guy that said Ituneskissmyass does not work..nor does any obvious code like stadium arcadium or any band members names

I am shocked to learn "ituneskissmyass" is not the secret code. Many of the people in the thread say they received blank e-mails from Apple that should have carried the promotional code. It's a bit of a mess, really.
