According to HitWise data released today, Myspace is now the most-visited site on the web. The social networking site accounts for a whopping 4.45% of all browser traffic in the United States. Those are some huge numbers -- more than eBay and Google, which is the next-most-popular at 3.89%. Yahoo is begging the ref for a yellow card, as reported by DailyTech's Brandon Hill:
Reuters is reporting that MySpace also currently commands 80 percent of social networking traffic. Just out of curiosity, I've run a little Alexaholic social networking chart that compares MySpace to Orkut, Friendster and Facebook:

MySpace is in blue, and you can see that it's head and shoulders above all the others. Orkut (in brownish-olive) is growing, but I don't think there's much of a chance that Orkut's traffic is ever going to get close to MySpace. Unless, of course, MySpace suddenly decides to ban Brazillians or something.
