This tattoo, which resembles an X-Ray of the client's arm and hand, is shown under both blacklight and natural light. The tattoo wil be completely invisible under natural light after the scarring heals, a process which usually takes 10-18 months.

"Most of the people that get the UV tattoos are 18 to 30," says Richie. "I only charge about 5% more for UV tattoos because of the higher cost of the ink."

"All of my clients that have the UV tattoos love them and have a great time showing them off," says Richie. Apparently, his clients also like to rock.

This music lover has a collection of blacklight tattoos. The piece at the top is 10 months old and almost totally healed. The two pieces at the bottom are 3 months old. Some scarring is still visible on the newer tattoos.
