GNER, one trundling appendage of the privatized horror story that is Britain's once-majestic rail system, announced today the introduction of WiFi aboard their new stock.

"We're rolling out wireless internet on board and in First Class lounges to help you make the most of your travel time. Whether you need to stay in touch with the office or simply want to download music, book theatre tickets online or even order your groceries, GNER's Mobile Office keeps you connected on the move."

It'll still take 2 hours to get from Darlington to York in winter, but at least you'll have a distraction to help you get there other than the vile ichor that passes for British Rail coffee.
