Clarins Cosmetiques of Paris has declared war on noteboks and cellphones, claiming that the electromagnetic radiation thus produced is anathema to the needs of radiant, healthy skin.

They're right, of course; light, the real cause of premature skin aging, is just another sultry stop on the bus route of electromagnetic radiation. Do gadgets produce enough to cause premature aging? No. Is there some other vaguely-implied radiative naughtiness at work? No.

I think Clarins maybe missed the metrosexual thing by 18 months, though with their "five year research program," that's quite understandable. Here's a quote from these silly hucksters:

Unveiling the mist at TFWA in Cannes this week, a spokesman for the company said electro magnetic radiation was a real cause of skin ageing. “Our work with the French National Centre of Research means we can prove bad effects on the skin ageing process with exposed to electro magnetic radiation from phones and lap tops,” she said. “The mist protects the skin by forming a screen on the face.”

Thirty-nine euros a bottle, available early next year.
