CupSelected for the British Council's Talent exhibition at the Milan furniture fair 2006, this hideous piece of crockery presents a simple solution to an age-old problem: hot mugs burning your hands. It's basically a molded ceramic heatsink in the shape of a cup, a radial ruff of fins creating the desired cooling effect. So, instead of being burned by the cup, your hands are "gently warmed" by it as the now-tripled surface area results in your Earl Grey going cold in 10 minutes.
