Japanese upstart Softbank, after promising their plans will always work out cheaper than their rivals', was forced to stop taking orders this weekend when the wave of signups crashed in and crashed out their system. To quote Softbank's marketing motto: "Beginning to make their lifestyles richer and convenient."

And now market-dominant NTT DoCoMo, the seeming loser in this customer exodus, reports net profits are down 20 percent on last year over the same period.

Eastasia's already got best toys. And now Sprint, Verizon, et al., are letting them get the best drama? Disgusting.
