Sony's Japan office has issued a press release (.pdf) spelling out the prices for the initial PlayStation 3 accessory lineup.
The wireless controller, called SIXAXIS even there in Japan, will be ¥5,000 (about $43); the USB adapter that lets you use PS1 and PS2 memory cards will be ¥1500 (about $13), and the remote control for Blu-Ray movies will be ¥3600 (about $31).
Figuring the typical yen-to-dollars conversion that happens with console pricing, expect US prices of $50 for a controller, $20 for the memory card thing, and $35 for the remote.
Oh, and the remote control won't ship until December 7, nearly a month after the console's November 11 Japan launch. Wait, what? The PS3 has a Blu-Ray movie player shoved inside it, but we're gonna have to wait a month for a proper remote? Sigh.
