Cheeta is the world's oldest living chimpanzee. He was also the co-star of Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan in the Tarzan films of the 1930's, as well as Rex Hamilton in Doctor Dolittle. He's now retired from acting. So how is this remarkable thespian primate spending his dotage? Doing commissioned artwork, of course.
Jason over at Hey Rube decided to buy a painting by the world famous artist Cheeta the Chimpanzee. After picking his color palette, Jason waited a few weeks and was sent the paintings by mail, along with a certificate of authenticity and a photograph of Cheeta painting them. Jason is thrilled with the quality:
You can buy yourself a genuine commissioned painting by Cheeta the Chimpanzee over at his official website, which the multi-talented octogenarian simian also probably designed himself.
