"Then there was Liu Zhihua, the vice mayor of Beijing in charge of Olympic construction, whose downfall in the summer involved tales of a luxury villa in the countryside stuffed with concubines. Rumours emerged later - published (here via ESWN, SCMP and Chinesenewsnet) that he had been set up by a company he stitched up to do a favour to a friend.
"They filmed his 'sex romps', as the tabloids would have it, in Hong Kong, and presented the tapes to the Politburo who were, believe it or not, forced to watch it before sacking him."
(((Outing sex DVDs to the party faithful is straight out of the Sanjay Joshi BJP Indian Centipede handbook. Makes you wonder if political opposition researchers have their own wiki somewhere, where they're eagerly getting up to speed on the latest smear techniques.)))
(((Check out the amazing list of Red mandarins with entire bevies of concubines. Note that this list of sexcapades is a "bulletin board post," ie, it's Internet fodder. Who compiled this list and let it go? We'll never know.)))

With such a shiny treasure trove of love affairs, director Zha couldn't stop bragging to his friends: "There are twelve beauties in the novel, Dream of the Red Mansion. But I have thirteen beauties." He also thought his record unbreakable, and looked down upon officials with fewer than 13 mistresses. But he reckoned without: Xu Qiyao, the ex-chief of Jiangsu Provincial Construction Department, who snatched the record with over 140 mistresses.
2. Quality: Zhang Zonghai, the ex-chief of Chongqing Propaganda Department. Zhang kept a room at the Chongqing Hilton so he could spend nights with different women, for whom he had three criteria: they had to be college graduates, pretty and unmarried. Even during his one-year course of study at the Central Party School, Zhang still managed to keep a nice college girl.
3. Collectables: Li Qingpu, vice director of Hainan Textile Industry Bureau. The desires of corrupt officials also lead them in the direction of other fetishes and fascinations. Li was famous for his "alternative" collections. He was found to have ((((etc etc etc))))
