Retailers worried about a lackluster holiday shopping turnout have already started slicing prices on electronic goodies.
Wal-Mart kicked off the deal-making Sunday with discounts on 100 TVs, phones, cameras and other gear. Examples include a Panasonic 42-inch HD plasma
TV, down to $1,294 from $1,794.
Wall Street analyst Carl Howe expects the price trimming to continue, with
Best Buy and Circuit City already feeling the pressure.
